I decided to follow the Dutch tradition of illustrating a "geboorte kaartjes" or birth card, which will then be printed and sent out to loved ones to announce the birth of our son, Oliver Pym.
My husband and I are originally from South Africa but we now live in a small city called Leiden in The Netherlands.
Our son was born during Spring, so I decided to illustrate the three of us on a bicycle, cycling through the city in full bloom.
